Happy Fall to our wonderful Ellensburg Rodeo Hall of Fame members and supporters. The weather most definitely has turned chilly. With that in mind, we’ve got plenty of activities inside these next couple of months for those who want to enjoy the Hall of Fame in a climate-controlled environment.
Our 5th annual Whiskey Tasting Fundraiser was another success! Partnering with Heritage Distilling Company once again, plenty of new friends and existing supporters sipped a variety of different libations while supporting the Ellensburg Rodeo Hall of Fame. In less than two weeks, we will conclude 2024’s successful offerings of Night at the Museum with our presentation of PRCA Pickup Men and Judges. Please join us at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd. Jacob Stacey and Caleb McMillan who have been pickup men in many arenas around the Columbia River Circuit will speak, and they’ll be able to give multiple perspectives of the arena action as both are still
competing as all-around cowboys. Judges Sean Culver and Ron Ferguson will educate and engage with our community regarding the process and knowledge needed for judging the roughstock events. Stock contractor and ERHOF board member Daniel Beard will moderate the free event.
Our final Western Movie Night of 2024 acts as an appetizer to Thanksgiving week. Enjoy Rio Bravo, starring John Wayne, Tuesday, Nov. 26th, 6:30 p.m. at Morgan Middle School’s Performing Arts Center. Admission is free and we’ll have refreshments available as well.
The Ellensburg Rodeo Hall of Fame board of directors meets monthly in an official capacity and as mandated by our Constitution, November is the Annual Member’s meeting, and all Lifetime and Sustaining ERHOF members may attend and are entitled to nominate and vote on prospective board members. This is an opportunity for our guests to ask questions, comment on ideas or simply listen in on the conversation during our November 6th meeting, which takes place at 5:30 p.m. at the museum in downtown Ellensburg. Since our last Pony Express was released in the summer, we had another great induction banquet in late August where we honored team roper Charles Pogue, All-Around cowboy Dave Brock and Ellensburg stock contractors The Eaton Family. For those who were there, it was another great night. For those who were unable to attend, the Ellensburg Rodeo Hall of Fame recently uploaded the induction banquet video
